Was she right not to tell/or ask Mac?

I don't think Julia was right, although Mac had run off with another woman, it was his (or i hope it was his) baby, so he should have at least known that it existed.
its sort of like the opposit of the George/Ronnie storyline.

i think a woman is the only one to decide about her pregnancy- for good and for bad. no man, may he be the most supportive partner on earth, can be pregnant instead of her and therefore she's the only one who has a say about it. i think that george was right to decide to get pregnant, but wrong in not telling - she can't force ronnie to be a father but she is entitled to have kids of her own- without him.
julia didn't want another child so nothing mac had to say was relevant- as she'd be the one to raise the kid and also carry on with the pregnancy. mac couldn't force her to have their child even if he thought he could have it with him. (not that kate would have agreed). sorry mac, you left home, you lost the right for a say.
love xx i

yes but on the other hand, maybe Julia aborted the child because of who it's father was not whether she wanted it or not. She could have easily wanted the child but not wanted to bring it up as a <insert word here> or feel angry/resentment towards it for who it's father is, she got rid.
