i voted she was wrong. ronnie has the right not to have kids just as well as george has the right to have them. if she wanted to have kids no matter what she could have told him to go and could have find another partner for that matter. lying to your partner is a thing not to be done imo.

i voted she was wrong but she does have the right to have kids, i mean its better she tricks Ronnie in to fathering it than going out and sleeping with any bloke. although tricking Ronnie is a mean thing to do.

disagree. in marriage there's the honesty contract. he doesn't use condoms on the basis of the agreement they have that she takes pills. if she was single i'd say the guy should have responsibility too and if he's afraid of an unwanted child he should protect himself, but here, ronnie didn't get the chance to choose - he was misled, and that's not fair. i don't say that anybody has the right to prevent a woman from having kids, but i say that forcing someone into fatherhood is just as bad. and you can't right the wrong by making someone else's life changed so drastically. i say: you want kids, go tell your partner. if your partner doesn't want then - though! go get it somewhere else and let your partner be sorry for losing you... i know that if that would happen to me ( i know it's a bit tough technically... but if...for the sake of argument) i wouldn't come back home never. my first girlfriend wanted kids so i left her. my wife now doesn't want them, but if she wanted, the closest thing i could get to living with this would be to stay in touch but live in a seperate homes, and no kids in my house please. being a parent is a big responsibility and not everyone has to agree to take it. so, george dear, want kids? be a single mom, and enjoy the sisterhood of the girls in the surgery: helen, sarah and faith would be glad to help... and julia would play grannie... love xxx i

i have a better idea - Helen can lend her Claire and Dan whenever they are grumpy or hyper, that stop George wanting kids!!

I felt really sorry for George but no way should she have done that to Ronnie. I actually know someone who desperately wanted a second child but whose husband only wanted one. She did something similar and though they're still together it has caused endless problems between them. A partnership should be based on mutual respect for the wishes of the other. Counselling for this issue might have been beneficial for both of them!!

I usually like everything George does, but here she was wrong in my opinion too. Voted with you all.
