Airing Monday, 17th October 2005 at 14:05 on BBC One
Faith and Sarah gossip about Jimmi’s marriage revelation at his party. Standing at reception, they are joined by George and Greg. All of them are mystified.
Jimmi strolls in to work, and everyone expects an explanation, but Jimmi does not give one. Sarah is teased, when it is clear she is glad she only flirted with Jimmi and went no further.
Faith tends to an elderly patient’s wound, and they flirt harmlessly.
Later, Faith enjoys updating Mac and Julia on Jimmi’s party. Both are shocked, and Julia cannot resist bringing up Jimmi’s party when she speaks to him. Jimmi does not divulge any further information, and leaves smiling.
Faith’s patient drops in a thoughtful present later, disappointed that Faith is not available. Julia accepts the present on behalf of Faith, and gives it to her later. Faith is chuffed.
Mac teases Jimmi, congratulating him on having a wife. Mac is playful but Jimmi is on edge. Mac suggests that Jimmi won’t be able to keep anything secret at the Health Centre.
Sarah tackles Jimmi in his room, and outright asks why he did not tell everyone he was married earlier? Jimmi glares as Sarah’s questions grow even more personal, bearing in mind Jimmi tried it on with Sarah and has had various girlfriends in tow since joining the Practice. Jimmi is annoyed, and does not answer her questions.
Meanwhile, Margaret and Barbara are elderly sisters who live together. Barbara has dementia and has returned home after failed residential placements, and Margaret cares for her. The Social Worker suggests an EMI, (elderly mentally infirm), home, but Margaret is not keen.
Margaret initially does not admit that Barbara bullies her, which has become physical. Initially Margaret gets George to prescribe herself sleeping tablets, but plans to administer them to Barbara. A placement is available, which may not be completely appropriate, but with support from George and Sarah Barbara starts packing to move in.
