'Sins of the Father'

George is concerned about her and Ronnie’s sexlife.
Jimmi is back from a weekend in Marrakech with Amanda. He has ridiculous sunburn and the others tease him.
Greg and Faith have a grumble together about being single and their quest to find decent men. Faith does come across one though and does some fishing…
George gets home early to get things ready for a romantic evening but Ronnie is set on watching the football!
Meanwhile, Ian, a young student is worried about his Dad Tom’s drinking. Tom is recently widowed and they are both still coming to terms with it. Tom’s drinking also affects his diabetes. Ian has taken extra time of Uni and appeals to Mac for help. Mac feels he is unable to help and is unsympathetic as he thinks Tom is a drunk and a bully; he was heavy handed with his late wife.
Tom turns on Ian during a disagreement but it becomes clear that Ian can hold his own; he is bigger and stronger and not so easy to dominate. Tom is ashamed of his behavior and breaks down.
Mac regrets his tough response to Ian earlier and callas round to make amends. Tom collapses and is rushed to hospital with kidney failure. Mac persuades Ian to persist with helping his Dad. Ian does his best but Tom makes no attempt to stop drinking, even when his life is in danger. Ian can do no more and goes back to Uni.
'Never Too Late'

Amanda is annoyingly exuberant after her weekend away. Julia is fishing about Jimmi and Amanda’s relationship.
Faith persuades Jimmi to find out if a patient is gay, she wants to have ago at playing cupid for Greg. Her plan goes slightly awry but looks like it may work out in the end…
George and Ronnie have lunch and she spells out how she fells about their lack of intimacy recently.
Meanwhile, Timothy Lutterworth is examining his sports car which has broken down near the The Mill.
It seems he wants to see Amanda and as it’s difficult to talk to her he makes an appointment for some reflexology. Tim is an old school friend; Amanda doesn’t recognise him straight away as he has lost so much weight and is now quite dishy. He tracked her down on a school friends’ website and is keen to spend some time with her. Amanda feels uncomfortable.
Tim leaves but returns later with a gift for Amanda but he has just missed her. He leaves in a fluster and is hit by a car. Tim suffers a broken arm and Amanda goes to see him at the hospital. Tim used to be obsessed with Amanda when they were younger and still hasn’t let go. Amanda is sympathetic and helps Tim to see he can do lots with his life.
'Indestructible'
Airing Wednesday, 9th November 2005 at 14:05 on BBC One
Holly is worried about her Mum Rachel being so distracted; Rachel has been getting over cancer. Holly’s Dad is shopping while she and her Mum go swimming. Holly is alarmed when her Mum seems to be struggling in the water. Rachel recovers and convinces Holly she is ok.
While they’re all out her brother David goes into his room and gets some drugs from his jacket. He looks quite battered.
Faith treats David at the Mill and he is vague about his injuries but he does reveal to Faith that he feels a bit excluded from his family.
Peter is back at home fretting; David was out all night. There is a confrontation when David gets back and David announces that he is quitting University. Holly takes delight in winding her brother up and being a goody two-shoes.
The police arrive looking for David; there was trouble at the party he was at last night. Holly agrees to lie for him. David realises they will be back and decided to make a run for it. He is stopped at the door by Faith.
David and Rachel are out walking. Rachel hangs herself precariously over the edge of a bridge. David cannot believe what he is seeing. Rachel explains that she only feels clear when she pushes herself to the limit. There is so much muddle in her life. She wants her family to realise what they have is precious and be a strong unit again.
'Disappearing Quietly'
Airing Thursday, 10th November 2005 at 14:05 on BBC One
George is still on a quest to have sex with Ronnie. She plans a lie in but Ronnie is intent on getting off to work. After a frosty car journey Ronnie finally admits to being worried about hurting the baby, George is relieved and they agree to have a nice evening together.
Julia is still fishing about what went on, on Jimmi and Amanda’s holiday – she is convinced there is a story to uncover.
Helen has been shopping and bought some killer shoes as a birthday treat to herself.
There is a birthday celebration for her at Icon, Helen makes an entrance and fall over in her new shoes! Matt brings Greg to the delight of Faith but it doesn’t go well; Faith is left confused and Greg is upset.
George and Ronnie are cuddly at last until Ronnie freaks out when the baby moves. George is left frustrated once again…
Meanwhile, Caroline has two teenage daughters, Bobby 15 and Jane 16. Jane outwardly seems to be the perfect teenager but Bobby is a tearaway and has disappeared. Caroline is frantic.
Jane passes out at school and is taken to see George. When Jane gets back she is surprised to see missing sister Bobby at home. The girls don’t get on. Bobby feels that she can never match up to Jane and her Mum makes her feel that way too. Bobby has a go at Jane and Jane locks herself in the bathroom.
George calls round to visit Jane as arranged and is met by a frantic Bobby who has just discovered Jane unconscious in the bathroom. Caroline has been held up at work and arrives at the hospital to hear the truth. Jane has been hiding anorexia and Bobby has felt like an outcast living in Jane’s shadow. George helps Caroline to really listen to her daughters.
'Heartbreak Hotel'
Airing Friday, 11th November 2005 at 14:05 on BBC One
It’s Helen’s big birthday night out. They go to Cuba where there is a big “Stars in their Eyes” night.
George is feeling fat and unattractive.
Greg and Faith have words and decide to go to a quieter bar. Greg is till not over Tom.
As the night wears on Amanda gets smoochy with Ronnie.
Amanda’s hand on Ronnie’s backside is the final straw for George. She storms up on the dance floor, slaps Amanda, punches Ronnie and makes her getaway leaving a bemused Helen knocking back the vodka shots.
Meanwhile, It’s Eddie’s big night. He is an Elvis impersonator and there is a big talent night at a local club. Peggy and his mate Frank are helping him get ready. Frank has been his right hand man for years.
Peggy insists that Eddie goes to the Doctors – she has made him an appointment and he goes on his way to the club. He is a diabetic and has high blood pressure. The doctor warns him to go home and put his feet up. Eddie rushes out without waiting for his prescription; he only cares about his big night.
Peggy has had enough of living with Elvis; she wants a normal life and an ordinary man. Her and Frank have become very close and she decides to break the news to Eddie that she is leaving him for Frank.
Edie comes off stage hyped up by his performance and finds Peggy and Frank in a clinch in the dressing room. Eddie doubles in pain, a combination of his condition and the shock. Peggy is sorry but says she cannot go on.
