heres a little more about the character from DS
No fret, Doctors fans, there will soon be a new arrival! Actress Jaye Griffiths, whose TV credits include Silent Witness, The Bill and Peak Practice, is to assume the role of new doctor, Elizabeth.
Spiky, prickly, abrupt and rubs people up the wrong way, but has a slightly dark and wicked sense of humour. The rest of the staff do not take to her, apart from Mac who will always defend her. She hates being called Liz, Lizzy or Beth and you’ll get your head snapped off if you dare to try.
She finds office politics a waste of time and most of the staff childish and self absorbed, though she will learn that their clinical and interpersonal skills redeem them. The reason why she became a GP was so she could see, manage and diagnose patients face to face with the minimum of fuss.
With patients, Elizabeth is a different person she will go all out to help them and is fearless in what she has to do to achieve a satisfactory end. Elizabeth has a fascination as to what makes people tick and sometimes her interest and involvement in a case will be down to curiosity rather than the ‘heroic’ stance taken by other doctors
Elizabeth was married to Paul, she had an insignificant affair which destroyed her marriage and destroyed her husband – who had a full break-down. Horrified at what she’d done Elizabeth vowed never to hurt a person like that again and the only way she could be sure of not repeating her actions, was by not getting close to anyone ever again...
Now that's one interesting character... Looking forward to that.
