Julia tells Greg they need to start making decisions about Mac’s replacement. After the last time they tried to offer a partnership they are downhearted. But Greg has a brain wave; Julia should become a partner.
Julia thanks Jimmi for being there for her last week.
Michelle is running a clinic on breast cancer awareness. Donna is intrigued and has clearly never done a self exam so Michelle offers to show her how and what is done. While Michelle is showing her a man sneaks back and watches through the glass. They chase him down and Donna humiliates him. Donna and Michelle decide the glass wall must go.
Meanwhile, Reg [60’s] gets up before his wife Rose and leaves to see George. Mac has been prescribing him Viagra and he now wants a repeat prescription from George. Reg is in a hurry as he has a big day; it’s the Leatherbridge Garden Show. Back at home Reg is too preoccupied and isn’t paying Rose much attention. At the Garden show Reg’s stall is opposite is arch rival Percy’s. They spar over whose veg is the best. Rose goes to see Michelle; she’s worried that Reg has changed apparently he has been paying her no sexual attention lately he’s too busy with his plants and vegetables.
Rose looks in Reg’s diary and thinks he’s having an affair because he’s written Georgina Woodson in his diary. Rose gives Reg a suitcase full of his things at the garden show and tells she never wants to see him again. Percy then lays into Reg saying its about time Rose stood up to him. Percy also accuses him of foul play in the way he’s grown his veg. Reg explains to Rose that George is his GP not his lover. But it turns out he’s been feeding the Viagra to the vegetables and that is why this years are so good. Rose then hurls his tomatoes at him. Percy wins the contest, Reg repents and makes up with Rose.

Faith hoovers her flat and makes tea blindfolded to try and get used to being blind. But Paul decides the really challenge would be on the streets of Leatherbridge. Things go well until Faith cheats and then the reality that she really will go blind kicks in. Faith tells Paul that what she is most worried about is she feels she hasn’t seen the world and wants to. Paul reassures her and the have fun.
Michelle tells Julia the glass wall must go as in compromises privacy as Donna discovered yesterday. Julia is not keen to do anything about the wall. So Michelle covers the glass with some truly hideous wallpaper. This sparks a row between Julia and Michelle.
Meanwhile, Lisa visits her father Martyn at the library; she is home early and seems worn out. They decide to keep Lisa’s return from Rachel her mother as a surprise. Lisa is worried that Rachel will stress as Lisa is supposed to be handing her end of year course work in today. Rachel is very busy preparing to try and get a promotion. Lisa explains to her dad that this term has stressed her out and she panicked and came home. So Martyn takes her to see Greg. She tells Greg she never really wanted to go to University and thinks she’s a loser because everyone else can cope with the pressure but she can’t. Rachel shows a couple round a house but is having difficulty; ankle hurts. Martyn and Lisa discuss whether she should leave university but Lisa is worried what her mum will say. Rachel sees Jimmi and he takes a look at her ankle. He tells her she shouldn’t wear heels for a while but she counters that that won’t get her the promotion she’ll look like a has been. But its not just the ankle, she’s been having other problems too; Jimmi suggests it could be the menopause.
Rachel is shocked and shocked again to find Lisa at home. Rachel goes into overdrive trying to find excuses to tell Lisa’s university. Martyn steps in and tells Rachel not to get involved that Lisa needs to make her own decision he’s also worried that Rachel is working her way into the ground. Lisa collapses in tears in her room her dad tries to help. Then Greg arrives with the results of Lisa’s blood tests; she’s had glandular fever. Lisa is ecstatic to discover that she really is ill and its not all in her head. Rachel also realises that her job isn’t everything.

Jimmi goes to see Dr Abi Swann who he’s been seeing for his OCD, he brings her flowers and saying he’s better now asks her out for lunch instead of an appointment, she invites him in. She quizzes him as she’s not really sure he can actually be better; he seems to convince her. But Jimmi is struggling not to compulsively clean his hands before eating his lunch with her.
Abi gentle grills him over lunch though he still can’t touch his sandwich. The lunch and conversation is all too much for Jimmi and Abi’s toilet is understairs and the water from the tap is only a trickle; Jimmi’s worst OCD nightmare. Jimmi has to wash his hands in the kitchen with Abi and she concludes that he is worse not better and is simply denying his illness now.
Meanwhile, Nick spots a teenager, Owen, trying to break into Jimmi’s car. The alarm goes off but Jimmi is too scared to chase after Owen, Nick gives chase but all he manages to catch is Owen’s rucksack. Nick finds the bag is full of empty wallets and a tin of beans. Jimmi doesn’t think its worth going to the police for which Nick tells him off. Owen breaks into Tel’s house. Tel is a dying old man with nothing worth nicking. Owen takes pity on the old man. Owen steals a car and drives Tel to the doctors. Owen tries to drop Tel off at the doctors but Tel is adamant Owen should pick him up after so he can reward him by giving him a gold watch. But instead of waiting Owen goes back to Tel’s house and starts rummaging for the watch. Owen is caught be PC Lynch but Lynch seems to be offering sympathy not arresting him. Nick treats Tel and tells him he needs to stop smoking, Tel also tells Nick he should’ve registered with the police since coming out of prison but he’s been too ill to do so. PC Lynch was looking for Tel not Owen and thinks he’s been abusing Owen. Owen makes his get away.
Owen drives Tel home and demands the watch calling Tel a pervert. PC Lynch goes to the surgery to see if Tel is there. Nick tells him that Tel has been to see him and was very ill. Lynch and Nick discuss it and Nick realises that he’s talking about Owen and worries for Tel’s safety then both head to Tel’s. Owen threatens Tel and Tel tells him the watch is in the cat’s litter. Owen goes to the bag of cat litter only to find its full of photos, magazines and video tapes as well as the watch. Owen takes the watch and beats up Tel. Nick and PC Lynch arrive this time Nick grabs Owen. Tel has realised that Owen was abused by his father and Owen is terrified he’ll turn into his father or into Tel. Nick reassures him and PC Lynch is going to get Tel to help them track down all the kids in the pictures.
'Frog'

Frog is sitting on the high street on his sleeping bag. He is homeless, begging and has a persistent cough. Faith is dropped off by Paul on his motorbike, on her way to volunteer at the homeless drop in centre, she passes Frog and drops a £1 coin in his cup. Faith meets Mary a ‘Key Worker’ at the centre, Michelle will be joining her after morning surgery. Faith is there to help out with the homeless TB screening and inoculation programme.
Meanwhile Kim joins Frog she’s managed to get enough money to buy them cheese burgers but she’s worried that Frog’s cough is putting people off and that’s why he’s not getting any money. She tells him he needs to get his results from Mary but he is reluctant. Suddenly Degsy, Frog’s nemesis, appears and hurls a bottle at them so they leg it. Frog waits till he sees Mary leave and then goes into see Faith for his results. He explains he’s called Frog because he’s a bit jumpy, Faith is concerned about his cough. Mary chucks Degsy out of the Drop-in centre, he sits outside. Kim sees this and knows Frog is now trapped.
Faith finds Frog’s x-ray results and it looks like he’s got TB. She tells him he needs to stop sleeping rough, but he refuses to stay in a hostel saying that’s where he got the disease from in the first place. Faith tells him Kim should get checked out too as she’s in such close proximity to him. Faith starts to explain the medication he’ll need when Kim rushes in to warn him about Degsy. Degsy appears and Frog and Kim run, Degsy starts to threaten Faith when Michelle arrives and he leaves. Frog lies to Kim saying he’s on the mend, but he’s coughing up blood. M
ary shows Faith round the drop In centre while she is Sgt Scott arrives also looking for Frog. Kim is at the centre to get a free lunch and take it back to Frog, Faith spots her. Faith tells her Frog is really ill and so she takes her to where Frog is. Meanwhile Frog is caught by Degsy. Faith and Kim arrive where she left Frof but he’s gone. They find Frog beaten up at the same time as the police and he is arrested. Michelle and Faith head to the Police station. Turns out they’ve been working a scam for Degsy but when they try to go it alone he turned nasty. The police drop the charges and Faith convinces him Frog he needs treatment. Paul picks up Faith and they go back to his.

Ronnie and George discuss the day ahead; Ronnie’s got a meeting with Julia at the end of the day but doesn’t want George to talk to her about it before he does. At lunch time George returns home to swap babysitting shifts with Ronnie. Ronnie goes to see Julia to tell her that Mac’s solicitor has been in touch; Mac wants his Partnership money and he wants half of the house. Julia is very upset about the house and if she loses it she won’t be able to afford the partnership.
Julia and Greg discuss how disgusting the wall paper is that Michelle has used to cover the glass wall of her room. Julia is determined it should come down. Julia calls a meeting; she’s going to call a builder to replace the wall and announces she’s going to become a partner in the practice and they need to come up with a job for Faith. Julia is in a good mood but this worries George as she knows the meeting with Ronnie may upset her. Michelle apologises to Julia about the wallpaper.
Paul returns home early from work to tell Faith he’s booked them a weekend in Paris. She had a long list of places she wanted to see before her eye sight went to they’d better make a start; she is ecstatic.
Meanwhile, Rose gets her 15 year old son Kevin ready for school. She offers to walk him there but but he tells her there is no need as things have got better. On the way to school Kevin is accosted by Darren who empties Kevin’s geeky satchel on the pavement. Kevin’s calmness aggravates Darren so he punches Kevin. Kevin returns home to Rose to get cleaned up. Rose is adamant that from now on he shouldn’t walk to school alone, and she calls for an appointment at the Doctors. Darren arrives at the surgery demanding to see a doctor despite not having an appointment. Donna refuses to fit him in but Greg agrees to see him.
Darren has been in recently and punching Kevin has reopened his wound. Darren leaves and Kevin and Rose arrive and also see Greg. Rose tells Greg it was Darren, Greg says they should go to the police but Rose says it’ll do no good the whole family has been terrorising the whole estate for 15 years. Greg points out that Darren may be infected because he punches Kevin and Darren and his family should know but Rose doesn’t want to give them another excuse to pick on Kevin. Greg discusses the case with Jimmi and Jimmi says that Darren’s family really need to be told because if Darren’s infected he could put others at risk. Greg thinks he should respect Kevin’s wish for privacy but Jimmi convinces him he should at least ring the BMA for advice.
Greg goes to visit Rose and Kevin at home. Rose is worried what the neighbours will think about Greg visiting their home. Greg tries to convince them to tell Darren and his family, because Darren’s cut opened up he may have got HIV from Kevin. Greg explains he doesn’t need their permission the BMA have told him if he thinks there is a duty to inform the Waters then he can. Kevin comes into see Greg and says he’s changed his mind and Greg can tell the Waters.

Julia speaks to Ronnie, she is adamant that Mac won’t get the house. At the end of the day Ronnie meets Julia again. Ronnie has convinced Mac’s solicitor to back down; Julia can keep the house.
Faith returns from a weekend in Paris with Paul. She makes sure she’s handed everything over to Michelle properly. George suggests the ideal role for Faith would be to triage patients on the phone. Faith and Rico have coffee in the icon and dream about travelling. Greg tells Rico over lunch about the job he’s going to offer Faith, but Rico thinks she’d rather go travelling.
Greg offers her the job anyway. But she turns it down because she’s going to travel the world with Paul. Today will be her last shift. At home she show’s Paul the positive result of her pregnancy test; they are both over the moon.
Meanwhile, Ida and her grandson Bondi are on her house boat he’s been staying with her. Bondi is always chewing gum. Ida is doing a painting for a summer show at a local café. Bondi is going to work his last shift at the Icon and then he’s leaving the country for South America. But he keeps getting stomach pains and is refusing to see the doctor about them. Ida cons Bondi into seeing George by booking an appointment for her own diabetes. Bondi storms out and Ida tries to convince George to go after him.
Ida and Bondi talk about his dad/her son who died because he ignored his symptoms till it was too late. Ida tells him not to make the same mistake but he gets angry and storms off. But he goes to see George anyway. George tells him he’ll need to stay in Leatherbridge while they run tests to find out what’s wrong. But he ignores her and has decided to fly tomorrow anyway. But on his shift at Icon he doubles up in pain again. He is determined however that he needs to travel now because life is too short. George talks to him at the icon and realises that chewing all the sugar free gum is what is causing his problems.
Doctors is now on its summer break.

Ida cons Bondi into seeing George by booking an appointment for her own diabetes. Bondi storms out and Ida tries to convince George to go after him.
Ida and Bondi talk about his dad/her son who died because he ignored his symptoms till it was too late. Ida tells him not to make the same mistake but he gets angry and storms off. But he goes to see George anyway. George tells him he’ll need to stay in Leatherbridge while they run tests to find out what’s wrong. But he ignores her and has decided to fly tomorrow anyway. But on his shift at Icon he doubles up in pain again. He is determined however that he needs to travel now because life is too short. George talks to him at the icon and realises that chewing all the sugar free gum is what is causing his problems.
Doctors is now on its summer break.
