I'm not entirely sure when I started watching although I would guess at around series 14. I quite clearly remember Tina going to Australia to find Sean - and seeing her collapse due to heat. I also remember that the opening sequence with the flying glass used to scare me. My favourite all time characters must be Holly and Patrick

I hate to admit it, I've seen Casualty from the very first episode!! When it first started, Duffy had a West country accent and was in to horoscopes. Somewhere along the line they changed her into a mature well-spoken character!! I don't think this series has been particularly good and it doesn't seem to have the strong characters it has had in the past. My favourite consultant would be Julian - the very first one to be given the position. As for the rest of the cast - well I don't really have any particular favourites. One question though for all you Casualty fans - why does Charlie have such a stiff neck? He always looks a bit wooden.

I found this on the holby.tv site 'Derek has a neurological condition called dystonia which causes his neck and head to spasm. Left untreated for many years, Derek now has Botox treatment to combat the problem and has become a patron for the Dystonia Society, to help raise awareness.'

Thanks for that information - I've always wondered whether he actually had a medical condition that caused him to look so stiff. Now I know.
