What do you think of the whole Jonathan Ross and Russel Brand thing?

They were complete idiots to make those phone calls in the first place and should suffer the consequences. It's an illegal offence and completely unfunny.

I agree with Katrina, they should have thought of the consequences before making fools of themselves, and their punishment serves them right!

They were both incredibly stupid - it was a horrible thing to do to anyone, especially someone of 78. That said, I normally like Jonathon Ross, but think he's getting too crude & vulgar & hopefully this experience will encourage him to rethink what he's doing & drop the crude bits. But who was the idiot at Radio 2 who allowed the pre-recorded stuff to be broadcast? They were almost as bad.

I agree with everyone else. I think what they did was extremely childish and disrespectful to say the least.
I know Russel Brand has resigned any way now but I agree with Jonathan Ross's suspension. He should be punished for a long time. However, I think that he should definetly not be fired from the BBC and the BBC would be making a huge mistake if they did that. Jonathan Ross is clearly popular and he must get a lot of viewers.
I also agree about whoever failed to edit it out at Radio 2. Had they edited it out, then Brand and Ross would still have been offensive to Andrew Sachs but it may have been sorted out a bit more quietly.
I think Andrew Sachs was very kind to be so forgiving of them as they don't deserve it. I also think its good that we have seen Brand apologise but I would like to know why Ross has not made an apology as well. He really should do.

I can't add much more than anyone else has said. It was an incredibly stupid and nasty thing to do. I don't watch Jonathan Ross as I think he's too full of himself and I really don't care if he never comes back again. I object to the amount of money he is paid - no-one is worth that. He is also incredibly sensitive about his own family so you would think that might just make him a little bit more sensitive to other people!!
