Another theory:
If one doc is going, why not Jimmi?
With both Eva and Vivien gone, why wouldn't he leave Letherbridge to be with Eva? It would make sense. He's sad but can't get into another relationship as his mind is still set on Eva.
Didn't he want to leave just before Nick's accident? And why two police surgeons? This could be the opportunity.

 I hate to say it but maybe it IS Jimmi that's leaving, he just can't get over Eva and now with Vivien going it could make him reconsider staying in Letherbridge. Or Eva may come back for him and they could leave together. If it is him that's going then i would be gutted  |

ditto for the devestation. And said as I am to admit it I think my time watching the show may be over. I have given Doctors 5 years of my life from the age of 13 up to now aged 18. But I have little interest in the other characters.
What I do not understand though is the fast exits for George, Ronnie and Vivien surely they would need to hand in notices and work up to a final date but then other characters have gone just as fast (Elizabeth, Sarah, Mac etc.).

Words fail me! I can't believe that my 3 favourites are all going!  I will live in hope that George and Ronnie return in the future just as they did with the Australia episode. Why are they going? Does anyone know? I shall probably keep watching mainly as it's a good time to sit down and relax and it has weathered the loss of other leading characters, so I shall see how it goes! |

The "new" baby idea was I feel a red herring. I was wrong with this one though as George is pregnant. |

It does seem final but then they could hate it but obviously staying long enough for Stirling and Sean to have a break etc. But if it is final I just hope that the actors get another role soon because so many doctors actors just disappear of the face of the planet. |

I am really shocked by this news and so sorry for all the Ronnie and George fans out there... I understand what you're going through (it was the same for me when Nick exited last year). Losing so many great characters in such a short period of time could be a big mistake. I understand that if a cast member wants to leave, they should be entitled to do so, but all we need now is Julia and Jimmi to exit and then the ship will be well and truly sunk. Fingers crossed though for any slight chance that things don't work out in China - perhaps the actors who play Ronnie and George do just want a break... hopefully.
