I hope it'll be better than the 1000th episode and that it'll actually be episode 2000 because I seem to recall they were three episodes out last time. I do wish they hadn't stopped doing the occasional hour long special throughout the year.

Ian Lavender plays retired brigadier Rowland Beckley
Rowland Beckley is one of the crew I'm sure! I've seen his name on the credits many times. ;D If they're short of names, we could have thought some up.

My description for the 2000th ep would read like this;
One of Julia's many old friends turns up at the Mill and they spend the day reminiscing.......
(They once did an ep of Mac talking to a radio station about his great staff, which had flashbacks in and it was great. )
Julia’s old friend would be Helen, Corrinne Wicks (that’s if she could get time off from Emmerdale). They'd go for lunch and begin discussing old times. They'd talk about the staff that they’ve worked in the various practices since Mac and Kate set up the first one. Julia wouldn't know the early staff like Steve, Ollie and Carolina and they'd show clips from past eps to illustrate Helen’s thoughts. She'd talk about her affairs and how she and Marc are now getting on. Then they'd discuss the staff they'd both worked with- Jude, Ben, Faith, George, Greg, Ronnie etc and laugh about how George always thought Helen was after Ronnie. Then they'd show clips about that. We could watch flashbacks of Helen being drunk again when she was trying to blot out all her problems. Then Julia would take over and tell Helen what happened after she left. She'd tell Helen about Nick and what happened between him and George and they'd show more clips. She'd mention Joe and tell us how she really feels about him. It would have been a really cheap ep to make, cos they'd just use the old film.

That would have been perfect Lg - and even better, it could have been made to last 2 hours.

Hopefully will be good - it sounds it. Yes Kat I used to enjoy the odd hour long episode too . Lg - your plan sounds good to me and the lovely Seán could be the director ;D! |

Lg - I love it. I don't know a lot of the characters you mentioned so it would be good to get to know of them all. Docs should have you on their team.  |

I can't wait to watch the episode i think it will be exciting to watch & see how the episode will unfold for everyone involved in it. Lg your idea sounds great, i think it would be great to see them talk about the old days & us seeing old clips as they do, i think that would be fab to see |
