Okay from what i understand and from classes such as biology and health.
Its a verrrryyy long process! The woman for several months before has to take a course of injections, to increase some hormone that assists pregnancy, like the one that builds up egg production and the womb lining. I think Zara at the minute is injecting herself with testosterone, so she would have to wait a month or so till that was out of her system, since being the male hormone, and then start the injections of the female hormone.
Daniel would also have to start taking injections to maximize his sperm count and have several tests to his sperm to look for abnormalities.
Since Zara's eggs wont be extracted from her uterus, they would have to be prepared and unfrozen, the changes of a successful fertilization go down a little when they have been frozen and also depending on the age of the eggs since extraction.
Daniel would then have to produce Sperm and it would be injected into several of Zara's eggs, with IVF ect they usually do several eggs for more chance of success. In the UK and for people with fertility problems it would usually be around 6, then several days/a week later, they would check and see if any were fertilized, if 3 or less were, they would transfer three into Zara's uterus (More chance of multiple pregnancy)
Then i think its maybe two weeks later, or earlier if bleeding/pains occur, a proper pregnancy test will be taken and Zara will know if she is pregnant or not, looking for a viable heartbeat of one child or more.
Stress will affect Zara conceiving through IVF using frozen eggs.
However she is between the optimum age range of 25-39
Low caffeine, no smoking and no alcohol preferred in male and female when using the injections.
Zara has a good BMI, could even be on the low side, which may effect.
Then it will progress as a normal pregnancy, however more checks will be made, more tests possibly may occur, but there is no reason for not having a successful pregnancy, because even after menopause, the uterus still can carry a baby.
Not always successful on the first try, many couples have several attempts.
Zara could possibly go through NHS for free due to her condition, however long waiting times. Quicker process if Private, still the same success rate, usually costing around £5000.
xx
Sorry its all in note form and doesn't flow very well, trying to remember and copying from notes oops!
Hope it helps, looking forward to this ;D ;D
