yes, also lets hope she doesn't become to butt of a thousand new blond jokes.
yay to me noticing something, (also means i won't wear my glasses ;D ). or the difference in colour may have been caused by the sun (i know it does that from my hair partly changing colour)

if her hair was influenced by the sun (she surely had a great summer holiday then..) - i say it is still the bbc people's duty to make sure their character looks the same as she was in the season before if they want us to believe the stories are linear.

the brit sun could have changed hair colour (i know from experience). true that BBC could have made her dye her hair back to original colour (is that original?) or styled the same, but the change could be put down to Helen is now feeling happier so it reflects in the way she keeps herself, paying more attention to the way she looks. also there must have been some time pass since the end of last series and the next (in story context) as how did George + Ronnie get holiday so quickly? how'd they replace Ben so quickly with Jimmi? and Helen no longer being depressed.
also what does linear mean?

the word "linear" is derived from "line" - saying there is a straight line linking all the events that you say that form the linear story, for example. and the events are all in order and come one after the other.
keeping the plot linear means unity of time and place, means that the time of the story you'll see tomorrow is after the time of the story you saw yesterday and today. it also means that they won't jump too far ahead in time without giving us a reasonable explanation (like you said, the break we had in the broadcast was enough for the docs to inrterview jimmi and probably others and to allow george and ronnie to go on a holiday. and i don't buy this thing with helen not depressed btw: she's on medication, i'm sure, you can't get so quickly out of depression. i have friends who'd been depressed and on medication and it does take a fair amount of time to recover.)
is it clear enough? i believe you got the main idea even without recognising the word. love xxx i
