THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS!
I wouldn't normally post a topic like this.
Basically I feel that viewers need to be aware about the content of the episode airing Tuesday 24th January 2012 titled Baby Steps. Partly this is because I know that some people watch with family which could include children and they may not want them to view this episode due to it's content.
Below is the synopsis from What's On TV online
~~ scroll down ~~~~
Zara's going to a relaxation class with her friend Rachel, who's six month's pregnant and being driven mad by her mother Eleanor's fussing. At The Mill, Julia gives Zara a papoose for the baby and Zara confides she misses her mum.
Zara heads into the spa for the class as Rachel answers a call. Rachel's annoyed to find Eleanor has gate-crashed the class and, afterwards, reminds her they have other plans.
As they head out for a walk near Rachel's home, Rachel's still complaining about Eleanor, but Zara thinks it's admirable that Eleanor managed to have a job and be a mum. But Rachel says Eleanor was too busy to be a proper mum.
Rachel tells Zara the call at the spa was a job offer in New York, which this baby means she can't take. Rachel goes jogging and, when Zara finds her jumping up and down, Rachel reveals she has placenta previa.
Zara realises Rachel is trying to induce labour to see if the baby is meant to be. As Rachel and Zara head back to the house, Rachel starts to bleed. Will Zara realise how precious it is to be a mum?
In addition to this we know from Inside Soap magazine that
Zara tries to save the life of the baby after Rachel tries to induce labour. Zara's attempts to save the baby's life fails and this causes her to re-evaluate her life and career.
Now I'll admit I am rather surprised Doctors would even consider going with this storyline and I'm pretty opened minded when it comes to content but in many ways I feel this crosses a line - and sadly it comes during a time when I've felt so proud of Doctors for covering the topic of male domestic abuse.
