Well I'll be sorry to see her go as she's a link with Mac, Vivien, George, Ronnie, Nick and Joe etc when Docs was at its best. If she leaves to take another job, I think that's tame; she should have a really dramatic departure. Being murdered by evil Charlie would be perfect. He could come back and stalk her and when the flashbacks start, she'd remember what he did to her, would panic and struggle. Then in trying to keep her quiet, he'd accidentally strangle her.

It seems to me her exit nay be rather rushed and its curious that the DS article doesn't mention the car stunt.

It makes me sad though that we are losing the longest serving cast member and the last remaining link to the shows origins. Its strange to think that when she leaves Adrian Lewis Morgan will become the longest serving current cast member.
