georgie was a legend, an alcoholic, a womaniser, but above all a genious with a football at his feet. he'll always be remembered here in Northern Ireland especially againt scotland in 67 and 'that' incident with Gordan Banks.

(was it the same match or two different issues?

I am very very sad about George Best. In my opinion, the most talented footballer, ever.

(was it the same match or two different issues? sorry about that. in 1967 he almost single handedly one the game against scotland at Windsor Park with arguably the greatest display ever seen on a football pitch. the Gordan Banks 'incident' is legendary. Banks went to kick the ball out of his hands and Best kicked it out of his hands ran on and headed the ball into the net but the goal was disallowed. Best is one of the main reasons why i and so many others from N.Ireland suport Manchester United news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4316154.stmp.s. shame on you those Man city and liverpool fans for jeering and booing during the minutes silence but have to say i'm not really surprised
