how can i get my hair to go straight without using straighteners? i hate straighteners but can't stand the strange flip i have in the very front part of my hair. any ideas?

use a straingthening lotion which You apply when wet and then blow dry your hair . Or use the straingtening lotion after your hair is dry but that normally just gets rid of the frizzy bits and makes your hair greasy faster.
Safest best is use a blowdryer and just be really maticulous about it

i've tried everything and i still get a really annoying flipped up bit at the front

The only way your going to get it straight is with straighteners, why don't you like using straighteners? If you worried about them burning your hair use a heat protector to protect your hair.

i don't like my straighteners cos they hurt. I'm not very good at using them.
