This is Donna’s first full-time job since she gave birth to her son. For someone who never quite got a foothold in the job market, this is Donna’s chance to prove herself. It’s taken a while to persuade her husband, although not through some old fashioned sexism. They always agreed that if they had a child then Donna would devote as much time to them as possible.
Donna has extremely good instincts about people. She can spot a blagger at a hundred paces and will try to warn the medical staff. Similarly, she can spot when someone's seriously ill but hiding it. She’ll be accused of interfering, but she’ll be right nine times out of ten.
