just been thinking about this and did this

Helen - been there since episode one (past prime?) ex boyfriend returning (moving away to live happily ever after) problem with Claire and/or Dan (??)

Mac - been there since episode one (past prime?) nearing retierment age (??) family problems (??)

Jimmi - new character (unpopularity?) has been lied to by wife (need to leave because of embarresment?) in love with Sarah (go to live happily ever after??) family problems (??)

George - been there a while 2/3 years (past prime?) , problems with baby (??) problems with Ronnie (??) family problems (??)

Greg - relationship issues (??) family problems (??)

Faith - been there a while (past prime) relationships (??) family problems (??)

Sarah - family problems (??) in love with Jimmi (go to live happily ever after?)

Julia - ??

Ronnie - problems with George (death?) problems with baby (death?) family problems (val caitlin)

what else is there? i don't really want any of them to go.

and the plot thickens

Jimmi speaks to Julia about his resignation.

Helen Thompson's emotions are in turmoil this week when the doctor is offered a new job

so could it be Helen and Jimmi (i'm still going on Amanda and Jimmi but wouldn't be surprised about Helen)

and it looks like Ronnie is being chatted up by some woman called Charlotte. so here's my theory:

Ronnie and Charlotte with have an affair which somehow they will keep a secret. when George goes in to labour with baby Woodson, Ronnie will be torn as to staying with Charlotte or going to watch the birth of his first child. blinded by his lust/love for Charlotte he decides to stay with her but a phone call from the hospital telling him, the life of his baby is in danger causes him to leave Charlotte and dash to the hospital only to have Charlotte follow him. Charlotte desperate/annoyed/angry about being left, starts shouting the odds at Ronnie when in the hospital, and a crucial moment in the arguement, we see George is listening in from behind a conviniently placed pillar. despite being slightly sedated, she knows that what Charlotte says is the truth, and also starts shouting the odds at Ronnie - saying does he think this 'tart' is more important than his wife and his child. George will whack both of them, and then scream at Ronnie that there relationship is now over. Charlotte will smile, getting her own way of Ronnie for her own, while Ronnie will look confused. George will then tell him that she does not need him and neither does there child. Ronnie will push Charlotte aside and try to step nearer to his wife to hug her/make it up with her, but George will step away and turn from him. Ronnie will storm out of the hospital with Charlotte close behind. George will collapse back in to a chair, and cry.

i think this could be a basis of another fic... it doesn't look too likely to happen in the series, in my opinion anyway...

and i think we'd better wait, because at this rate we'll have nobody staying...
helen will leave for a better job or cause she wouldn't be able to face marc
jimmi will leave of embarrassment
amanda doesn't cound - go you liar... see if we care!
george will leave for a maternity leave
ronnie will leave because he'll have this affair - you say

and we'll stay with whom? mac and julia who are about to retire anyway, broken hearted sarah and greg and faith? not too promising i'd say.

oh yes, and unfaithful marc with his lovely wife to be...
not the way i'd like to see doctors in the future.

so i say, wait before we have only bad guessing ahead of us.
