Lou Reed - Perfect Day
Just a perfect day, Drink Sangria in the park,
And then later, when it gets dark,
We go home.
Just a perfect day,
Feed animals in the zoo
Then later, a movie, too,
And then home.
Oh it's such a perfect day,
I'm glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
You just keep me hanging on.
Just a perfect day,
Problems all left alone,
Weekenders on our own.
It's such fun.
Just a perfect day,
You made me forget myself.
I thought I was someone else,
Someone good.
Oh it's such a perfect day,
I'm glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
You just keep me hanging on.
You're going to reap just what you sow,
You're going to reap just what you sow,
You're going to reap just what you sow,
You're going to reap just what you sow...

thanks Daisy
did she sing the entire song?
it seemed to fit with the scenes it was played over. Eva was fab.

it is a very sad song. some people take it as a love song by mistake, but i find it a very sad and not so optimistic one. still beautiful, of course.

Kirsty MacColl has recorded it as well. It's a lovely version.

right! it is also on the wonderful tripple collection.
but she did it as a duet with someone i didn't recognise. when wife comes back from turin (work meeting, she celebrates the world and the cd is with her in ireland) she could tell us who's Kirsty's partner in this song. maybe anyone of you recognise his name.
