i'm talking about a lady that looked like a librarian...small head, big glasses. i remember watching the first epi she appeared and helen said she came back as a temp... so i assumed she used the work back for a reason...

but since i watched this epi on the irish tv, then maybe i saw her return later and not that she joied them after being there before... having been watching 4 different seasons (uk gold, rte, bbc and bbc prime) i can get confused with the times

jack came a lot later to replace ben at riverside and was moving into best when ben returned

There was a rather frightening receptionist called Mavis- dark haired, big glasses, older woman. I think that may be who you mean Iris. She was in Docs in the early days and came back as a temp. Ben gave her a bunch of flowers when she left.
