Doctors is such a great programe but why isnt it on later in the day say 5pm when everyone is home to watch it or why can't the bbc do a reapt isnt there away for everyone to ask the bbc ? ithink it would do well

i'm not sure why it isn't on later. but i'm sure in an interview with ds, Adrian Lewis Morgan mentioned about the timeslot, I can't remember what he said right now but I think it's on the board somewhere

As far as I know it was on later to start with (after 6 I think) but didn't get much of following so it was shifted to lunch-time. The BBC were set to axe the series but when it was moved to it's present slot (after 9/11) the viewing figures went up so they kept it.

Doctors was on at 12.30pm for the first 18 months until 9/11, when it moved to the time it is on now. The BBC repeated the first series, after its initial run at around 7pm during the summer of 2000, but it didn't do well in the time slot, so they kept the afternoon time instead.
Speaking of different times Doctors has been on, does anyone else remember the first episode being shown on a Sunday evening, before the series launched properly the following afternoon?

Yeah but if it was on at 6pm then it would clash with the simpsons. But 5 o clock would be a great time for it, instead of all these terribly acted kids shows
