this is my first attempt at Doctors Fanfiction.
Note – its been ten years since the fire at Riverside, soon after that and Jack’s death a lot of the people left riverside wanting to forget what had happened.

A light thud on the doormat shook Helen Thompson from her cleaning. She had changed a lot since her days as one of the most popular doctors at Riverside Surgery. Her hair was no longer blond but turning slightly grey, her one time sparkling blue eyes were now sad and lifeless, her one time healthy figure was now dangorously thin. she turned lying the duster down on the table before walking slowly in to the hallway, she picked up the letters on her doormat - bill, bill, junk then she let out a gasp. One envelope had familiar scrawl on it, one she hadn't seen for ten years. She turned the letter over and gently opened the envelope, she pulled out the piece of paper and started to read, tears slipped down her cheek as she did so.

The barking of the dog shocked George Woodson from her sleep. She turned over whacking her husband Ronnie.
“GEORGE!!” the familiar morning ritual had begun. Ronnie clambered out of the bed and went towards the wardrobe ready to get dressed for today’s day at work; his wife was much slowly in rousing. She started by sitting up and yawning and then slowly climbing out. George looked slightly annoyed at being woken as she always did. The door of the bedroom was flung open and the couples’ seven-year-old daughter Callie was stood in the door way a letter in her hand, the dog rushed in to the room.
“You have a letter mummy” she smiled as she passed over the letter, George ripped it open and ripped out the paper, starting to read
“oh god no” she started to sob, Ronnie instantly wrapped her in his arms

“Dad, we have post” Nathan called up to Ben holding a letter in his hand. He started up the stairs knocking lightly on the door, which he opened at the sound of Ben’s call. Nathan looked at his dad; he had aged a lot over the passed couple of years. He no long had any hair and he had one set of false teeth but he still loved running and being active. Nathan hadn’t changed much, he was still the same guy alone a little more grown up losing Tasha, the baby and Sarah had done that too him.
“Who’s the letter from then” Ben looked at his son. Nathan opened the letter and started to read,
“Dad, I think you should read this” Nathan passed the letter to his father who started to cry by the time he got to the second paragraph.

“Mummy” ten-year-old Angus picked up the letter from the doormat before wandering upstairs in to his little sisters bedroom where his mum was picking the little girl up from her sleep.
“You have a letter mummy” Jude turned to her son and smiled gently placing her young daughter on the floor before taking the letter from his hand. She opened the letter slowly wandering why she was getting a letter from Julia, 11 years after she left Riverside. She slowly pulled the letter out and started to read, she turned away from her son’s gaze and started to sob
“why are you crying mummy?” Angus asked in his usual sweet manner, “something’s happened sweetie”
