Part 1
The woman stumbled as she walked slowly forward, her eye sight blurred. She knew she had to make it only a little bit further, then she'd be safe. She could feel the stickiness of the blood on her cheek. Her head felt light. She felt herself hit in to a door, it pushed open. She felt herself slip to the ground, everything turned to blackness.
Sarah screamed out as she watched what happened in slow motion. She rushed forward, turning the woman over, so her face was towards the sky. The woman’s face was a mass of gashes each one bleeding heavily. There was something familiar about the woman but that was quickly pushed from her mind when George and Helen appeared at her side, they instantly ordered Sarah to call from an ambulance, the two doctors looked the woman over, both of them felt the same way Sarah did, like they’d met her somewhere before but where?

Part 2 for the next few parts, there are clues as to who the person is but some of the clues will be false ;D
Two hours later, Sarah was sat in The Mill staffroom trying to remember where she’d seen that woman before, for all she knew it could have been in a photograph one of her friends had shown her. Sarah closed her eyes, sometimes that helped her to think but all she could see was the woman’s bloody face. She stood up. It was useless; she smiled at Julia who was manning the reception desk for her before walking out of the surgery. It felt good to take in some fresh air. Slowly Sarah began to walk towards St Phils, she knew that the woman had been taken there; maybe they’d know who she is.
Once inside the hospital Sarah followed the signs to ICU, she had no idea weather the woman would be there but from the state she was in earlier it seemed most likely unless, Sarah gulped as another possibility entered her mind. She kept walking. When she got to the ICU she smiled at the nurse
“Can I see the mystery woman? The nurse shrugged looking bored, she pointed towards a door at the end of the corridor before going back to checking her nails. Sarah slowly opened the door, taking a deep breath as she did so, she stepped towards the bed and looked down, and the woman’s face was caked in dried blood, as was her hair. Sarah stared at her, hoping that she’d remember her name. The woman stirred slightly and her eyes opened, she looked at Sarah terrified.

part 3
After a few seconds the woman stopped looking so scared, she looked around the room taking in her new surroundings. Her eyes stopped for a few seconds on the heart monitor before she turned back to look at Sarah. Everything in her mind was muddled apart from one thing; she opened her mouth slightly and cleared her throat before she slowly began to sing
“Ally, bally, ally bally bee, sittin' on yer mammy's knee Greetin' for anither bawbee, Tae buy mair Coulter's candy.
Ally. Bally, ally, bally bee, When you grow up you'll go to sea, Makin' pennies for your daddy and me, Tae buy mair Coulter's Candy.
Mammy gie me ma thrifty doon Here's auld Coulter comin' roon Wi' a basket on his croon Selling Coulter's Candy.
Little Annie's greetin' tae Sae whit can puir wee Mammy dae But gie them a penny atween them twae Tae buy mair Coulter's Candy.
Poor wee Jeannie's lookin' affa thin, A rickle o' banes covered ower wi' skin, Noo she's gettin' a double chin Wi' sookin' Coulter's Candy.”
Sarah looked confused as she heard the song; it was not one she recognised. The woman began to sing it through again, she looked almost happy as she sang it. Sarah was soon caught up in the woman’s song. When she stopped the woman ran a hand over her face, feeling the gashes, tears began to fall down her cheek. For a second she’d thought they were a dream, for a second she’d been transported back to her childhood. Sarah couldn’t bare to watch the woman cry anymore, slowly she stood up
“I’ll come back to see you again. bye” with that she left the room, leaving the mystery woman sobbing.

part 4
The next day, Sarah slowly entered the hospital room. The first thing she noticed was that the mystery woman was sat up in bed. As nurse was stood to the side of the bed holding a basin filled with water. Whenever the nurse got close the mystery woman moved away. The nurse placed the basin down and looked at Sarah
“She seems to like you, see if you can wash her hair” with that the nurse walked out looking annoyed. Sarah walked around to where the basin was, slowly she picked it up. Sarah smiled softly at the woman.
“I’m just going to wash your hair, I promise I won’t hurt you” slowly Sarah began to wash the hair in the basin. The water slowly began to turn a reddish colour as the dried blood washed off the hair. When she was done washing the hair, Sarah gently began to brush it. Every so often the woman flinched. The hair was seriously matted. When Sarah was done, the woman’s hair looked wonderful. It was a beautiful black, the colour of a moonless night sky. It was long and silky. The woman raised her hand and gently stroked her hair. The mystery woman moved her hand to her chin, she signed the word ‘Thank You’

part 5
Sarah took the basin out to the nurse before returning back to the room, the woman smiled a small smile. Sarah sat down beside the bed,
“Who are you?” The woman shook her head fiercely; she touched one of the jagged wounds on her face, tracing it with her index finger.
“Do you know who I am?” the woman shrugged. Sarah couldn’t help but feel frustrated, she thought for a second
“Could I bring a couple friends to see you?” the woman looked terrified at the idea. She began to shake her head. She may only have had limited memories but she knew that people couldn’t be trusted. The scars proved that.

part 6
The next day when Sarah came to see the mystery woman, see took George and Helen with her. The two of them were sure that they’d be able to identify her. Sarah walked in to the room first, the mystery woman smiled at her but the second see saw George and Helen, she reeled back. Sarah sat down on the chair beside the bed, while Helen and George stood uncomfortably at the end of the bed. The mystery woman stared at them, wondering why they were here.
“These are my friends, Helen and George” the mystery woman’s face stayed blank. Sarah had hope that when the mystery woman saw Helen and George everything would come back to her and that everything would be ok. Helen and George looked hard at the woman’s face, there was something so familiar about her it was scary yet no names came to mind.
“Helen and George looked after you when you came to The Mill” the mystery woman looked a little less scared, something in her muddled mind told her that these two new people weren’t one of them.
“So do you have any children?” George spoke softly, the mystery woman perked up a little, she could remember seeing something. A white plastic stick with a blue line, then that faded. The mystery woman nodded slightly but she didn’t look convinced. She could only remember the test.

Part 7
Helen and George sat down on the two other chairs in the room, both of them keeping there eyes of the mystery woman. Both of them were filled with intense curiosity as to who she was and why she was here. Sarah felt sad, she’d pinned so much hope on the mystery woman recognizing Helen and George. The mystery woman looked at all three of them in turn, memorising their facial features, these three strangers were the only people she thinks she can trust in the world.
“Do you have a job?” Helen watched the woman closely; she rolled her eyes upwards as if to search her brain for the answers. She moved her hand and pointed to herself with her index finger, shakes her head, then makes a fist with her hand with the thumb open moving it towards her forehead. Sarah turned and looked at George and Helen
“I don’t know what she’s said” the mystery woman signed rapidly, obviously using a mixture of words and the alphabet. George frowned
“The only letter I can work out is an ‘R’” Helen looked at George
“I caught the word ‘My’ and ‘Name’ I wish I paid more attention when they taught us sign language at school”

Part 8
Over the next two days Sarah, Helen and George spent all their free time with the mystery woman, they tried to gain her trust but the mystery woman refused to do anything other than signing or singing ‘Ally Bally Bee’. Each day the nurses told the woman that today it would be time to start walking but the woman firmly signed ‘no’ she had no desire to go walking, because walking would eventually mean leaving, and leaving meant well she didn’t want to think about that, not yet anyway.
On the third day, Sarah, Helen and George were feeling extremely frustrated, they were getting absolutely nowhere. They stepped in to the room and looked straight at the woman, she was sat up on the bed, she smiled and her face lit up when she saw them. Sarah, Helen and George took their usual seats around the bed watching the woman carefully there was something different about her today. The woman reached out one of her arms and gently took hold of Helen’s hand; she stared directly in to Helen’s eyes,
“Dr Thompson” she then let go of Helen’s hand and took George’s “Dr Woodson” she then looked at Sarah, her mind went blank. She couldn’t tell whether she’d met her before or not. Sarah felt deflated, she’d spent the longest with the woman, why didn’t she remember her. Sarah got up from her chair and ran from the room, leaving a confused Helen and George looking towards the door.

Part 9 only a few parts left
Sarah ran from the hospital ward, she ended up sat on a swing in a nearby park. She gently rocked back and forth, the motion relaxing her slightly. Tears were still streaming down her face; she thought the mystery woman liked her best, she thought if the mystery woman would recognise anyone it would be her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Helen and George looked at each other, both of them filled with mixed emotions, part of them was so happy that the woman recognised them but the other part was sad and disappointed for Sarah. The mystery woman was still looking at them; she didn’t seem to have noticed that Sarah had gone.
“you know our names don’t you” Helen spoke softly, the woman nodded and smiled
“ok then, can you tell us your name then?” the woman looked at her, she turned to look out of the window
“can’t …. Tell …. Too …. Dangerous” George looked at the woman, she spoke with a slight accent, obviously the woman had worked hard to get rid of it.
“we won’t hurt you. is there someone after you? are you running away?” the mystery woman nodded, tears now streaming down her face.
“we’ll help you, we’ll look after you when you come out of hospital, just tell us your name” the woman stayed looking out the window, the sun was shining.
“my name is ……”
10 sorry this parts only short,
A thousand different names zoomed around the mystery woman’s head; she tried to sort them, to work out which one was her own. Did it begin with an A or a B or a completely different letter? Did it have 4 letters or 5? Was she a Joanne, a Caroline or even a Kate? She looked at the kind expectant faces of the two women sat in front of her, she felt panicked, and what if she couldn’t tell them? Would they react in the way that They had.
“My name’s Ivana. Ivana Tinkle” George’s eyes crinkled as she began to laugh, the mystery woman looked at her confused. Then she thought about the name, and she two began to laugh only Helen was silent. A fog was clearing in her mind, clearly in her mind she could see an old friend laughing just the way ‘Ivana’ was. Helen smiled; she knew who the woman was. ‘Ivana’ stopped laughing and turned to Helen
“your not Ivana are you, …..”
