Hotel
Part 1
I’m really looking forward to this weekend away work has been so hectic the past few months, I need this break so much.
I’ve not had anytime off since I started working at the Best practice. I really love my job at last I’ve found something that I enjoy, Its only a receptionist job but it’s the first decent job I’ve had I really enjoy it and I get on well with everyone at work.
I’ve been a bit down since Nathan left, just as I was starting to think we could have a relationship he decides to leave, I understand that he wanted to be with his dad to get to know him better but I really thought we could make it work, maybe I was just being stupid.
I’m fed up of being on my own anyway I’m determined to enjoy myself this weekend and catching up with Leanne a friend who I went to school with she owns a hotel in Scotland.
Driving up the motorway I smile to myself as I glance at the clock on the dashboard, I turn up the radio I should be there in about an half an hour.
Half an hour later…
I pull up on the drive of The Castle Inn I love this place its beautiful, the views are amazing. I haven’t seen Leanne for over a year it will be great to see her again. I grab my bag out of the boot and take in the scenery.
“Sarah, hello how are you?”
Leanne runs over and gives me a hug
“Hi Leanne I‘m fine thanks, you?”
“I’m great thanks, shall we go inside” Leanne carried my bag and I followed her along the hallway past the lounge to the kitchen.
“It seems quiet have you got many people staying”
“There’s only you and one other guest staying this weekend” Its been so busy the last few weeks, it will be nice to have a good gossip and catch up”
I nodded in agreement.
As we approach the kitchen I could hear laughing
“Hi Steve this is Sarah, she’s staying with me for the weekend” she puts my bag down by the table.
“Hi nice to meet you” he smiles at me and I grin back inanely
“Seeing as you’re the only guests here you might as well get to know each other”
“You must be hungry Sarah, I’ll start dinner in a minute, first I‘ll show you to your room”
He smiles at me as I walk past, I wish I could of said something witty and intelligent, rather than just grinning like a lunatic, Its not like me to be lost for words, I usually don’t stop talking, I’ll have to make up for it later.
