this fic is actually lots of different stories (not sure how many yet).
It was a stormy day at The Mill Health Centre, patients had been calling on and off all morning cancelling appointments because of the storm. So the staff were sat around in staff room watching the rain falling in sheets and the occasional lightening flash. It was coming up 5pm when it happened, a flash of lightening and rumble of thunder and then every light in the building went out. Fear swept through everyone. Everybody grabbed the hand of the person sat next to them, hoping that soon the lights would come back. Mac reached around in the dark, pulling Julia's hand, soon he found what he wanted, a torch. He flicked it on, everyone gathered around the small light.
"now, calm down. I'll tell you some stories to calm you" Mac spoke softly. 3 hours later the lights were still off and nobody felt brave enough to travel home, not with the ferocious storm. Slowly every member of the staff fell alseep with Mac's stories swirling around in their brains. Sarah began to toss and turn

Sarah Finch awoke from her deep sleep, she smiled the storm had stopped, then she looked around the room, she was at home but how? She sat up in her bed and stretched but something felt different. The room was exactly the same but for some reason it wasn’t. Sarah shook her head putting all this down to the fact she’d just woken up. Slowly she climbed out of her bed and walked towards her wardrobe; she opened the wooden doors and frowned. Everything was red. Quickly she dressed in a red t-shirt and a red skirt. Then she hunted around for her shoes, when she saw them, Sarah frowned again. They were kid’s school shoes but she put them on anyway, she had to wear shoes. Sarah left her bed room and bounded down the stairs and in to the kitchen. She almost fainted when she saw who was stood there.
“Sarah, oh darling don’t you look smart” Helen gushed happily as she studied the girl stood in front of her “now would you do mummy a favour sweetie and take this basket of food to Grandma Julia’s? She’s not well, poor dear and Grandpa Mac is visiting Uncle Ciaran. Now go straight to Grandma’s and be careful in the forest” Sarah just stared at Helen with her mouth open hardly taking in anything that was being said
“Sarah, darling, do shut your mouth, it’s not lady like. Now here’s the basket, take it to Granny’s and remember to put on your coat” Sarah took the basket and walked out in to the hall where she pulled on the red coat that was hung on one of the coat pegs. Sarah left the house she walked slowly towards the forest that was across from, well from where she’d left. She walked through it, humming softly to herself. While she was walking in the forest Sarah saw some beautiful flowers growing on the ground, she forgot Mummy Helen’s warning. Sarah didn’t even notice the dark shadow coming up behind her. Suddenly a wolf appeared beside her, Sarah turned. She didn’t know whether to run or to laugh. The wolf was a Jimmi-Wolf.
“What are you doing here little girl?” the wolf asked in as friendly a voice as he could mange. Sarah smiled at him
“I’m going to erm Grandma” she thought for a second “Julia’s house” Sarah replied, she then realised that she was probably running late so she excused her self. Meanwhile the Jimmi-Wolf took a shortcut.
The Jimmi-Wolf gasped as he reached Grandma Julia’s house, as he’d run the entire way. He knocked lightly on the door, smiling slightly to himself.
“Oh Darling, you’ve arrived. Come in on in” Grandma Julia’s voice came, she thought the knock had been Sarah
“I’ve been so worried” Jimmi-Wolf let himself in and before Julia had time to think, Jimmi-Wolf gobbled her up. Jimmi-Wolf let out a burp and searched through the wardrobes to find a night gown he liked. He pulled it on and then pulled on a sleeping cap and for good measure he squirted a bit of perfume on. A few minutes later Sarah arrived. she gently knocked on the door. The Jimmi-Wolf jumped in to bed and pulled the covers up
“Come in” he croaked trying to sound like an old lady. Sarah smiled
“It’s me Sarah”
“Oh come on in darling” the Jimmi-Wolf croaked again. Sarah entered. She hardly recognized Julia.
“Ju. I mean Grandma; you sound odd, are you ok?” Sarah felt worried; worried that she’d slip up and worried for the health of Grandma Julia.
“It’s just a cold sweetie” Jimmi-Wolf coughed for extra effect.
“But what big ears you have”
“The better to hear you with me dear”
” what big eyes you have?”
“All the better to see you with my darling”
“, what big teeth you have” Sarah said, feeling scared
“All the better to eat you with” the Jimmi-Wolf then jumped out of bed and chase Sarah. Almost too late Sarah realised that woman in the bed was not her, Julia but a very hungry wolf. She dropped her basket and ran from the house screaming
“Wolf, wolf help me!!!” A woodsman named Greg, who was chopping wood nearby, heard the scream and ran towards to cottage as quickly as he could. He grabbed the Jimmi-Wolf and made him spit out poor Grandma Julia who was very confused but otherwise she was ok.
“I was scared” sobbed Sarah; Julia gently placed an arm around the girl’s shoulders and hugged her.
“There, there sweetie, its ok. Thank goodness that kind woodsman was near by” Sarah yawned slightly.
“Darling, why don’t you lie down for a minute” Sarah nodded gratefully. She lay down on the bed and quickly feel asleep.

When she awoke Sarah found herself back in the dark surgery, the storm still raging. The torch was still shining, Sarah stared at it and gradually felt herself drift back off to sleep, beside Sarah slept George, who began to turn in her sleep just as Sarah had.
