December sees the departure of two Doctors’ favourites. Dr Helen Thompson (Corrinne Wicks) - who has been the unluckiest person in love for the last five years - finally gets her Prince Charming in an hour-long special of the BBC daytime drama.

Her ex-lover, Marc Eliot (Tom Butcher) is back and the chemistry between them is obvious to everyone. Helen bravely tells him her true feelings only to be knocked back… But, as the rest of the staff enjoy their Christmas party, Marc surprises everyone and arrives at the party later, complete in naval uniform - and sweeps Helen off her feet...
Interestingly, for Corrinne and Tom, it’s life imitating art as they are, in fact, a couple in ‘real world’ – I do sometimes find it hard to distinguish between the two…
This special episode will air on the 16th December at 2:05pm on BBC One.

am surprised that Corrinne and Tom are actually a couple!!

but ARGH can't believe it's Helen, she's like one of the originals. and she rocks. no more George and Helen friendship

and as for Andrea going thats like really sad. i liked her. Sarah was cool!

sad news indeed that Helen is going still she may turn up as the lead in casualty or holby city as doctors seemed to be a training ground for those shows eg. leanne wilson and sarah manners. lets hope so. In the meantime i can still add lots of screen caps of Corrinne to help the Helen withdrawal sufferers if anyone wants me to that is.
