Tv Quick 10 - 16th Dec Dr Helen Thompson finally finds love and leaves the series on friday, in a dramatic hour-long seasonal end to this year's prescription of daytime soap Doctors Poor Helen has never been lucky in love, and the reappearance of her ex, Dr Marc Eliot, has made her realise this more than ever. she's still in love with Marc. bravely she decides to tell him her feelings, but he knocks her back. however at the christmas party, Marc comes to his senses and sweeps Helen off her feet - and out of the series. it's all very An Officer And His Gentleman, especially considering that in real life the actors are engaged!looks good, but woah Corrinne and Tom are engaged congrats to them.

looks good, but woah Corrinne and Tom are engaged congrats to them. Yeah, found out they're engaged last week from TV Times. That's really nice. Episode looks great. Just hope Cara is already gone so as not to put a negative spin on things.

i got bored and ended up typing it up it's a case of life imiating art for Doctors' Corrinne Wicks. her character Dr Helen Thompson, finds her prince charming in Dr Marc Eliot, and the pair are set to leave Mill Health Centre to start a new life together. and in real life Corrinne is leaving the drama after five years to spend more time with her new husband co-star Tom Butcher - who plays Marc! "it was very nice for us to have this romantic storyline" smiles Corrinne, 37.
In an hour long special, Marc returns after a year working in Kosovo. "Marc is now engaged to a woman called Laura," says Corrinne who lives with Tom in Birmingham. "He still has feelings for Helen, but doesn't think she loves him any more. but she does - she just needs to tell him!"
Emotions run high as they set off to the health centre's Christmas fancy dress party, which has An Officer and A Gentleman as the theme. Unable to deny their real feelings, they finally admit they love one other.
"it's snowing as they run off together" explains Corrinne "it was strange for Tom, because he left the series already. but it made leaving easier for me'
"its great to play kissing scenes, with someone you're in love with"now theres a few mistakes here: according to 'Corrinne Information' thread Corrinne is 35 not 37 Marc's fiancee is Cara and not Laura Marc doesn't return in the episode, he was back nov 29th and a gramatically thing that doesn't make sense they love one other i thought it should be they love one anotherbut it is a cute article. cool that they are married (?) but a little strange, in the space of 3 or 4 articles they've got together, engaged and married.
