Vivien is an absolutely brilliant character. She is definitely in my top three. Her storylines, and Anita Carey's portrayal of her, have been excellent.

There have been quite a few receptionists and she ranks as one of the very best together with Sarah (Andrea Green). The complete opposite ends of the age gap and two very different personalities but both exceptionally good characters. Lets hope she's here to stay for a long time still

Oh dear! I didn't mean by my above comments that I dislike Ruth

. She is still a newbie so we don't know the full Ruth as yet. Sarah and Vivien are such hard acts to follow!

There's a letter published in next week's Radio Times in praise of Doctors and in particular praising Anita Carey re. the whole rape story... and saying what a hidden gem Doctors is and how it seems to go unnoticed (or words to that effect).
