Monday
A university vice-chancellor knocks down a young girl in this week's first visit to the Midlands-based medical drama. The man then falsely accuses Jimmi of misdiagnosing epilepsy. After looking at a collage made by the injured girl, Ruth discovers the chancellor has been having an affair, and saves the day by threatening to tell the chancellor's wife the truth.
Meanwhile, Archie and Michelle go to an eco fair and meet Kirsten, a postgraduate student in environmental studies.
Julia assumes Vivien must be feeling much better now the trial is over. Lily realises this is not the case and offers Vivien an opportunity to talk about how she is feeling. Vivien is dismissive of Lily's offer, but remains troubled.
Heston agonises over finding the perfect place for a date with Lily but, when he finally plucks up the courage to ask her, she turns him down.

Tuesday
When a café owner asks a breast-feeding mother to leave, it's the icing on the cake for his neglected, pregnant wife, in today's visit to the Midlands-based medical drama. A group of women decide to join forces in an attempt to make him change, and George helps him realise that raising a child is a joint effort.
Meanwhile, Michelle and Ruth decide to go on holiday but are finding everything too expensive. Heston, however, offers them the run of his place in Tuscany – which they eventually accept.
Elsewhere, Melody and Archie are both at the Campus and Melody decides it's time to clear the air between them. Archie thinks she's going to tell him she still loves him so he cuts her short, explaining he's moved on, but Melody explains that she only wants them to be friends. However, jealousy sets in when Archie gets a surprise visit from Kirsten, the postgraduate he met at the eco fair.

Wednesday
After years of indulging his wife, Mary's, bragging about their high-achieving daughter, Peter Peyton finally gets an opportunity to reveal how his wife was so ashamed when their other daughter was born with Down's Syndrome that they gave her away. However, Peter secretly stayed in touch with the child and supported her for years, and Melody helps to reunite the three of them as a family, as the drama set in a Midlands medical centre continues.
Meanwhile, Heston spends the day asking the female doctors about their ideal dates, pretending that he is doing some research for a friend. But Julia discovers that he has a crush on Lily and isn't pleased that he seems to have hired her solely for that reason.
Michelle can't believe that Archie still hasn't asked Kirsten on a date, but he gets his chance when she pops into The Mill again.
Elsewhere, Vivien is subdued as she awaits news on the final sentencing of the two boys who assaulted her. However, Ronnie calls to let her know that the hearing has been delayed until tomorrow.
Finally, Ruth is excited about her holiday with Michelle.

Thursday
When a lecturer in Saxon history dies, Vivien visits his widow, who is a friend of hers, as the drama series centred on a Midlands health centre continues. They are both surprised when they are met by the late husband's Norwegian girlfriend, who promptly steals away his ashes to fulfil her partner's last wishes of a Viking funeral. When they track her down, Vivien helps the women reach a compromise.
Vivien finally receives the call from Ronnie she's been waiting for. Ryan received a 10-year sentence, and Lee eight years. Ronnie is surprised at her lack of reaction but Vivien feigns relief to end the call. She goes to see Mary to tell her the news. Mary is now conscious, although heavily sedated so unable to talk, but Vivien is warmed as Mary signals her relief. However, it is not long before Vivien is feeling empty once again.
Meanwhile, Sasha, a temp receptionist at the Campus, causes Archie to have a bad day.

Friday
When foetal remains are discovered in the basement of an old house, Lily helps Anne Hedley move on from her guilt and finally separate from her controlling husband, Brian, as the Midlands-based medical drama continues.
Elsewhere, Archie has a date with Kirsten and they really hit it off. As he walks Kirsten home, he mulls over how the evening couldn't have gone any better. But, when Kirsten closes her door after kissing Archie goodnight, she kisses a photo of a young man and assures him everything is going to be alright.
Melody, meanwhile, is anxious about her RCGP accreditation assessment with Heston, but he doesn't appear to be taking it seriously. She starts to worry that Heston doesn't have enough experience as a GP to help her, but Heston reassures her he won't let her down and she finally relaxes.
Later, Vivien decides to talk to Lily about how she is feeling but soon cuts her short when Lily suggests counselling.
