What were your favourite childrens shows when you were a kid? I particulary loved fun house which was awesome!! I thought it was so cool and I always wanted to be on it! Does anyone else remember that? I also loved animals of farthing wood! I used to get all the magazines and everything! By the way, I know theres quite a big age range on here so I'm not trying to single anyone out if they know shows I don't remember, I want to hear from everyone! I'm in a reminiscing kind of mood! P.S. Also, are there any childrens shows on at the moment that people really like? Not that I'd know about them of course! Its not like I spend ages watching the CBBC and Cebeebies chanel whenever I get the chance! ;D

Yeah right. LOL Dunno about the shows you mentioned because of a cultural gap. I used to watch L'île aux enfants; Calimero; Capitaine Flam; Albator; Goldorak; Ulysse 31; Watoo-Watoo; Maya l'abeille; Heidi; Sans famille; Silas; Zora la rousse and other stuff. Know any of them ? When I meet with some of my friends, we sing songs from those shows. We also do quizzes with the songs. Great fun ! I'm not a TV addict either. ;D

No I don't now any of those shows but if they were anything like the shows I used to watch then I bet they were awesome too!! Have you ever heard of the show Balamory? That was on TV until quite recently when they cancelled it They still show repeats sometimes though! Thats like my all time favourite little kids TV program and I used to really wind my friends up about it at school, secondary school in sixth form that is! ;D I even made up a Balamory Remix and once when it was one of my friends birthdays I made them a birthday card with balamory pictures all over it! Inside it said have a balamory birthday ;D

I loved Worzel Gummidge, Rentaghost, Grange Hill (loved Tucker Jenkins aka Todd Carty) and the Pink Panther show. Others included Thundercats, He-man and Rolf Harris' Cartoon time in which he drew scenes and characters from the cartoon that was going to be shown.
I also like Tony Harts art programme with Morph the plasticine model. I always pretended to my brother that they had shown my art picture even though I hated art and could not draw.

Have to agree that Animals of Farthing Wood was a legendary show...I also have a soft spot for the old skool Gerry Anderson shows such as Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet...

Thank goodness, Michelle, that there's someone out there the same generation as me, as I remember these shows too. Didn't care so much for Rentaghost, but yes, I also wanted my picture to appear in Tony Hart's Gallery... it never did, as I never got round to sending anything in!!

Don't know Balamory or any of the shows mentioned. I think I'll give up on this thread.
