Why oh why is Simon leaving, he is a character with such depth and by a long way my favourite!

I feel your pain, it's been torment watching ever since I read the spoiler on this forum! I wish the actor all the best and hope that when he's got the Shakespeare out of his system he might return to our screens in some other guise. I agree he had depth; flawed and fuddy duddy on the one hand but sensitive and caring on the other, sometimes with brilliant deductive skills like when he saved the mill from the deadly virus. With his puppy eyes and sardonic witt whom have we now to mock the foibles of the other "Millers"?

I`m so pleased that there are other Simon fans. It was a sad day when he left The Mill. I always thought he was the cleverest of all the staff and I just wanted him to find a cure for some obscure illness and be duly rewarded by the PCT! Will try to watch out for his other acting roles.
