This was a hilarious episode overall. The temporary receptionist is a comic genius particularly with her reference to the "plump cherry". Ah and all her other attempts to empathise with two very angry, upset men had me in stitches. Couple that with Heston's request to Howard not to do anymore "Richard heading around ".... It is possibly one of the best episodes in terms of inserting large chunks of comedy when it could have all been dark, dour and sad as one could expect post Cherry confession and departure.

After weeks of burning the bomb that was Jimmi and Daniel has finally and boy it exploded big time! The fight was great! Really exciting! Love Valerie babbling on about cherries and the 3 second rule! Heston is being a bit to high and mighty for my liking! Howard has had a tough time recently: 1 doctor dead: Freya 2 doctors leaving: Elaine and Zara 1 nurse leaving: Cherry 2 more threatening to leave: Jimmi and Daniel 2 receptionists on holiday: Karen and Mrs. Tembe And one nutty temp: Valarie So I think Heston should cut Howard some slack! Shout out to James Larkin who even when dead can still direct cracking episodes!

Yes, it's great that before Harrison hanged himself, he left a little shooting script on his bedside locker giving detailed instructions for the crew to produce a cracking episode.
It's a long time since we had a fight on 'Doctors'. I fondly remember the episode where Daniel and Archie knocked seven bells out of each other on the patio because they both had designs on Melody - and then Vivien came and turned a hosepipe on them...partly to break it up, partly to make it more erotic. And then there was the time when Karen gave Zara a massive wedgie by grabbing her G-string. Ah, memories. But today's fight was extra special thanks to the use of tray bakes as collateral damage.
Though actually I have some sympathy for Heston - Howard has shown himself to be a spectacularly inept practice manager, and today he's been consulting a management text book by a Mr Richard Head (better known as Dick Head to his friends), and has told blatantly contradictory lies to two people who were inevitably going to find out the truth before the day was done. He's a terrific character, but a terrible boss.
And Mandy. Why have you started tying your hair back to look exactly like Cherry? That's not going to cheer Jimmi up, is it? On several occasions today, I was convinced Princess Bubblegum was back in the building...

Its funny that you should say that Foxy I too thought I saw Cherry walking away from reception in one scene (scary) I love Valerie and her traybakes, indeed a rival for Mrs Tembe in the cookery department! The references to cherries today were excellent from Valerie`s plump cherries to Daniel`s fat free cherry yoghurt, The fight was great though more of a scuffle really. Jimmie dark and brooding, Daniel about to cry and dear Heston the headteacher sending the naughty boys to his office. Good episode!!
