I really wish the Franklyn / Miss Letherbridge storyline hadn't been a part of this episode. As much as I like Barry (and am glad that Franklyn has now gone) I felt that it took away from what was otherwise a good episode.
I did enjoy the main storyline and I'm interested in where it goes from here although I think it's a shame that we probably won't ever discover what began of guest leads. I think it'll be interesting to, hopefully, discover more about Driver as she's a recurring character who I really do enjoy.
I felt the scene with Howard, Valerie and Mandy was a little out of place and just seemed quite an odd jump from the scene preceding it.

Yes, I'm rather pleased that Franklyn has been given his marching orders. I find him funny in small doses, and I loved the pants / drinking game he played with Jimmi last week, but there were times today when the show wasn't really Doctors - it was Doctors' annoying best friends.
Apart from that, a very touching and enjoyable episode and Lisa Riley is such a good actress - you totally forget the glamorous Lisa we see dancing on Strictly when you see her. And where has Driver been the past few months? I much prefer her to the hard-nosed police officer played by Hannah Waterman. Driver does have a vulnerable side which makes her more interesting. Nice to see her back, and nice to see the back of Franklyn...

GOODBYE Franklyn, Good Riddance!! Perhaps now Jimmi can move on.
It was, as you say foxadoodle, a very touching episode, looks like we will be seeing more of Driver in the future, I quite like her.

Oh great, that Franklyn is gone - he just annoyed me so so much.

I thought there was maybe a hint that there was going to be 'something' between Driver and Jimmi?
And yes, good riddance Franklyn.

Loved Lisa Riley and partner. Believable, poignant story of the day and they were great as the gullible couple.
