The story about the Bosnian student felt a bit nothing-y, but then I suppose this episode was all about the all important interviews for Elaine's replacement, and Heston and Howad were hilarious together, as always.

So is that strange fat slob in the glasses the new doctor? How my heart would sink if I went to the Mill and found that Heston, Daniel, Jimmi, Emma, Kevin and Jas weren't available but Dr Nerd would see me now...

And the Rob / Driver story was also rather wonderful. I hope it doesn't lead to the breakup of Karen and Rob's marriage, as they're such a good couple when they're together, but it's very clear that DI Driver isn't pretending any more when she says sweet nothings to Rob, and I'm looking forward to the fireworks when Karen finds out.

I am liking the intereaction with Rob and Driver - it almost makes the air crackle which is a nice change on Doctors.
As for Karen, the stupid thicko KNOWS Rob has gone undercover yet she keeps phoning him and obsessing over him. I wonder if she will blow his cover with her jealous green eyed way ? I often feel like slapping the woman for her sheer thickness - her smothering of Immie and Jack - jaysus I'm a mother of two grown up kids and when they were in school and college they were able to do their own thing without my tail gating them. SCREAM at Karen !
The host family story was no addition to the programme, actually it took away from the great story unfolding with Rob's and Driver's undercover.

I like Doctor Al! I think he will be a refreshing change! Plus I love the fact he uses the word "Laters"! It's a word me and my family use all the time!
