I was very impressed that the BBC still showed this episode - even though it was about a nightclub fire and there was indeed such a tragedy in real life in Brazil at the weekend.
Having said that, I didn't think it was the greatest story in the world. It was fairly obvious that the girl who kept talking to someone we never actually saw behind a door, was in fact talking to herself...'Doctors' does so many episodes where people turn out to be talking to dead people - I thought they'd moved on from that storyline, but no, it had to make a repeat appearance. Though the central theme - about people protecting themselves from feeling the full horror of a tragedy - by filming it on their phones was quite interesting and timely. I'm always intrigued when I see mobile phone footage of some horrific event on the news - I always wonder how someone could have just stood there and filmed it, but I guess it's a kind of defence mechanism.
Some charming scenes with Daniel and Joe. And how sweet that Matthew Chambers clearly has a genuine rapport with that sweet little boy playing his son. When will Zara come back, so they can build bridges and become a family again???
