she was the british prime minister in, i think, 1980 or about that time. as far as i remember, she was elected twice, as head of the conservative party (maybe they have another name, those that aren't the labour, that's for sure - her nickname was, again, i translate from hebrew so i may not be too correct here, iron-lady, and she was very strict, radical and the opposite from a liberal leftie....too bad i don't know the exact english terms...) after her came john major.

once you've finished the harry potters
I recommend the abhorsen triligy by Garth Nix and Also the Wind on fire trilogy by William nicholson.
They're good coz they are fantasy aimed at teenagers but don't patronise.
If you fancy a good cry, there is an amazing book called Chinese cinderella, it's really sad but made even worse by the fact that it's a true story of the authors childhood
Harry Potter 4 is slow, but the end is good. all of the ends of the books are good, especially the sixth one coz I was expecting what happened to happen in the seventh book but oh well we have to wait and see

i'm sure i've read Chinese Cinderella. and i've given up with Harry Potter 4, one of the few books i actually have given up on.
and because its about a book - i read a murder mystery the other night and i solved the murder (who did it and why) before the murder had actually happened.

She was the prime minister in the 1980's - early 1990's. She was known as the iron lady and was responsible for the horrid council tax, miners strike etc. Her daughter won I'm a Celebrity earlier this year.
