I am not enjoying Doctors at the moment. Instead of thirty minutes of a good story plus some humourous and social interaction we just have boredom!! It is unbelievable that Sam after a major accident and stroke can now sit up in bed and converse with Heston about literature and give advice on public speaking all within a fortnight! Mandy, Kevin or Jas dont seem to be doing anything much. Have we finished the storyline of Kevin`s other family? Al is an obnoxious bigot and I so want Mrs Tembe to put him down with one of her looks and comments. The only funny bit is when Al refers to the Rev No hope. Maybe the writers have something lined up for the new vicar or Emma and Howard and is Zara ever going to return? Hurry up please and help get our favourite soap out of the doldrums!

I am also finding Doctors becoming boring of late. I record it so I fast forward through parts that are really so irrelevant and yet that get more scenes than is good for the series. I love the way that Al puts Mrs Tembe in her place. She is the bigot of the piece and not him although she gives him a sermon on it. I know her character is meant to be like this but really she is mainly unlikeable. Her nose wrinkles up at most of the staff of the Mill and at most other people too except for members of her church.

Oh and also, Sam recovered too quickly from a stroke, given that he was slipping away and is partially paralysed in the first place. If he even showed evidence of dysphasia, one might credit it but no ! he can swallow just fine UNLIKE a typical stroke patient.
