Well they really are making a fuss of this new vicar, aren't they? Rob was dragged over hot coals to give some details about him, Mrs Tembe got quite weepy in Howard's office about him, Al has given passionate atheistic speeches denouncing him, and today the whole of the Letherbridge's Women's Institute turned out to clean the church for him. Only he never turned up. I hope when he does appear, it's George Clooney. Actually, no....I hope it's Harrison. (He didn't really hang himself). Or maybe it's the Reverend Sissy Juggins - who knits her own cassocks and once you join her congregation, you'll never leave.
Aside from all the strangeness at the church, I thought this was a delightfully daffy episode. More members of Letherbridge's ever-growing transgendered community - we've had lesbians on Monday, transsexuals on Wednesday, so there's certain to be a ghost on Friday. But I was surprised that particular storyline ended on such a sad note - as it seemed quite light in tone, but Stella ended up broken-hearted with her box of memories. And the Daniel and Jimmi scenes were fun, but Daniel is seriously deluded if he thinks he and Jimmi can resume their bromance...
However my highlight of the episode was Mrs Tembe showing the church ladies how they stalk wild animals in Botswana. I hope she now gives the orphaned field mouse to Mandy. The ensuing storyline could keep us happy till Christmas...

This was a much better episode,no dreams,no weirdness,no chickens.I have a hunch the new vicar will be female, knew Mrs. Tembe in a previous life, has a connection to Zara and is Al`s twin.[well, it`s worth a try writers].
