I know the despair felt by people whose lives have changed dramatically by illness but I really dont think Sam has a convincing case for euthanasia at the moment. He is extremely articulate, is able to feed himself and has the use of his arm and hand. He is not bedridden unable to move or communicate. I can understand Emma`s anger at Sam`s insistance to die. I hope the writers will deal with this subject in a realistic and compassionate way.

You raise some good points Grace. I am sorry but I just don't understand why Sam wants to end his life. As Grace has said he can do many things. So I just don't get it! But I have to say the acting in this storyline has been fantastic! I am very interested to see how Chris reacts when he finds out!
Also was nice to see Daniel as a doctor again.

Sam can move a wheelchair too obviously, so why isn't he doing some lecturing/teaching/tutoring, he could do that I am certain!!
I understand Emmas anger, but she really is an unpleasant person, the way she acts with all the men in her life. I wish she would leave Howard alone, it is difficult enough to like him without the Emma issue.
