While I have not always liked this Sam storyline I am very interested in seeing the aftermath unfold. I do not believe that it was a natural death. I think either Emma or Chris killed him.
And Mrs Tembe why can't you just let yourself be happy for once!

I think Mrs T may let herself be happy, she wants to she took off her wedding ring!!
What a selfish man Sam was, he obviously got someone to help him, and whoever it was may go to prison and be struck off . I haven't liked this storyline I thought it was wrong in many ways.

I thought it was a very interesting episode. Excited to find out exactly how Sam died. I don't think it was Emma that killed him, but it could have been Chris. Also, way to go Mrs Tembe! I really hope she can be happy. She used to get on my nerves, but I have to say I've warmed to her recently.

I thought that this storyline was probably not handled the way it should have been. I say this because the Sam we saw in Flashback in Anger, was a go getter, loved life and was active. He was very devoted to Emma and seemed a really good guy. So, what I found odd, was that he didnt attack his disability with the same zest. What confused me was that I would have thought someone like him might have done something positive with his disability and not given up.
I found his change of character a bit odd. And despite his disability, he was not so bad that he would want to miss out on his family. That is my opinion.
I dont think that the scriptwriters really got Sam's character quite right. He may well have wanted to end his life, but I am not sure he would have been so selfish about it. He was not, afterall, selfish in his first episode.
As a few have said, his disability was not so bad that he should want to end his life. And in every episode after, all we did was hear him go on and on about how he was looking forward to going to Swizterland. Despite his circumstances, would he really have been so up beat about this? I dont think so.
I would have really liked to have LIKED Sam, but the writers made him come across as selfish.
Mrs T storyline is heartbreaking in a good way. It makes you want to go Ahhhhhhhh. I didnt really like her until now. But now I just want her and Gordon to be very happy.

I have found the Sam story interesting. It brings us all to question the ethics of euthanasia and whether or not a person has a right to take their own lives due to illness/disability and whether or not that person can be assisted without being prosecuted. So, yes, uncomfortable viewing but a brave story line for the producers to pick. I think that given his zest for life, that a disability such as he had followed by a stroke, would make him not want to continue. As for who did it- I am betting that it was his helper ...
The Mrs T and Gordon story is lovely and she is becoming more interesting now. Up to this, I disliked her. I felt sorry for her because of the manner in which Gobby Hollins stuck her nose into her business. Gosh but if I had a friend like Hollins in real life, she wouldn't be a friend !
