Am I a horrible person for thinking Sam is still selfish even after hearing his speech? Yes he chose to die but he blackmailed Chris into killing him! So sorry I don't care what his reasons were, I still hate him!
Gordon and Winifred are on a first name basis it is getting serious!
Also I hate the way Zara has be written since she returned! She has turned into a caricature! But I loved the woman giving her a few home truths!

No, you're not a horrible person, doctorjb! Sam was spectacularly selfish, and what he's done could lead to both Emma and Chris losing their jobs and possibly even being sent to prison. I'd say he's been selfish, self-centred, self-pitying and horribly manipulative. It has made for some good episodes, though I'd quite like to move away from Emma for a bit. I enjoyed the funeral, and the beautiful musical montage at the end, but when we then saw a picture of Emma standing over Sam's grave in the 'Next time' trailer I thought: "Oh no, not again!"
The Mrs Tembe and Reverend Clements story, however, is a total joy! Or should I say the Winnifred and Gordon story. When Gordon asked if he could take their relationship to a more intimate level and Mrs Tembe looked horrified, I laughed so much a little bit of my lunch came out of my nose. I found the vicar creepy at first, but now I find that such a sweet story.
And yet more cross dressers in Letherbridge! Is there something in the water? I found the idea that the man was cross-dressing as a kind of tribute to his dead sister really intriguing...and it would have been nice to explore it further, but they seemed to gallop through this story very, very quickly which is a shame. And yes, Zara is appalling at the moment! But they seem to be suggesting that she can't trust men, has been hurt one too many times, and is therefore giving out really bad advice. I hope in time, she learns to trust men again. And one man in particular...

I continue to find this mercy assisted suicide interesting. I think that only if a person is in a similar situation and unable to anything for themselves - not even go to the toilet, wipe your behind or indeed wipe your nose, then it might be less easy to think of others. Sam had been a live wire apparently and I gather that he couldn't countenance life without the joy of movement and independence. Winifred and Gordon - at last ! I couldn't believe when she had HIM backed up against a tree for a good tender and loving kiss. It is such a tender story and so unlike the other love interests in Doctors that were rocky and then ended badly. I am loving Zara at the moment - she is back to her cynical, arched eyebrows self with a wall of protection built around her. It look though that she and Daniel will get together again..
