I'm slightly in two minds about this story. It did feel like very familiar territory...the old soldier with post traumatic shock, the sleazy pole dancing club (I'm surprised we didn't see Al there - I thought that's how he spent his evenings), and yet more gangsters - Letherbridge is clearly twinned with 1930s Chicago.
But...there were some bits that were very appealing indeed. I do love the bond that Howard has with his old soldiers - he can be very awkward and uncomfortable dealing with people at the Mill, so it's nice to see him outside of it, dealing with his own people. And I thought the actor in the lead role - Duane Henry - was astonishingly good, giving a lovely, tender, vulnerable performance. I predict he will go very far indeed.
