the books in order of happening:
1. the magician's nephew
2. the lion, the witch and the wardrobe
3. the horse and his boy
4. prince caspian
5. the voyage of the "dawn treader"
6. the silver chair
7. the last battle
but you can take off this list (and read later) :
the magician's nephew - because it explaine the creation of narnia and how the white witch has got there and some may say it's better to explore narnia through the eyes of the 4 kids in the lion, the witch and the wardrobe
the horse and his boy - because it is a side-plot that happend during the time of the lion, the witch and the wardrobe.
both books were written after the whole series was completed (or at least after the first 3) as far as i know

hey, kat: if you decide to start from "the magician's nephew" (or if you get to it later, anyway) you'll meet there two guinea pigs.... which reminds me: how are goerge and ronnie? (and where did the thread about them disappeared?)

i'm not to sure where the thread went, but never mind. anway both of them are fine, and make a racket (the parrots next door can imitate them and G & R reply). also they both have very different personalities
Ronnie is very relaxed (and when you holds him he's prone to going to sleep)
while George is active and curious. and will not stay still!
