just been watching Doctors very carefully and have noticed that Stirling Gallacher (George) wears a lot of the charity bands around her wrist.
i think its excellent that an actress on a popular day time show is wearing these bands to show support for charities.

i've noticed the yellow "live strong" band on her wrist on the episode i got from the begining of this season, and also thought it was a great idea - only i thought it was george's character who was into charity and awareness, not stirling.
in any case it's excellent imo too.
does she have lots of them now?

i think she also wears a white one 'make poverty history' but i will rewind my vid and check.
just checked its definatley one yellow and one white. obviously she's not like the people around where i live (myself included) who have them all the way up there arms.

i think that as a doctor she should also wear a pink band for breast cancer awareness. but i guess that would look too much even on george...  love xxx i. |

hm i guess a brest cancer one would be good so would a general cancer one.

the yellow is a general cancer one. it's the band of the "live strong" fund formed by lance armstrong the famous bike rider who won the tour-de-france six times after recovering from cancer.
i have one myself and i can say it does inspire me at hard times.

Downs Syndrome (green and purple)
Hospice Care (yellow)
Breast Cancer (dark pink)
Breast Cancer (light pink)
i collect them but i also feel strongly about a lot of the causes especially breast cancer.
