hi there, i was just wondering if there is a chance that when the new series starts in September if there will be some new or a new doctor(s).
i think there will be maybe 1 as Julia said that they need new blood so hopefully there will be two new doctors, who knows there could be a new love interest for Julia or nick or even Jimmi.
i was also wondering what sort of stories you think or would like to happen.
for me i would like to see two new doctors, one of which will be a new partner who tries to take over much to Greg's dislike who could also be a love interest for Julia, the other doctor could be gay and be a big hit with the ladies and once again Greg would become jealous and this could mean the end of his marriage and Rico decides to go home.
i would love to see a story where jimmi falls in love and maybe once again leads to heart break as the love interest could cheat on him with nick which would hit him hard and his ocd would go from bad to worst.
and finally i would love to see more of Donna and possibly being caught up in a major storyline.

Hi Alex
I think the only 'new' character will be Michelle. I doubt they'll be a new Doctor though, but I think that's to do with me still think that Mac will some day return.
As for two new doctors, I doubt they'd be able to bring any one in that is more than a reacurring character. for example it would make the credits over long to add in an extra members, as well as the cast would be larger meaner that other actors would get less screen time which could lead to them feeling neglected (that's not the best word but it'll do) and quitting.
As for the new series, i'm not sure.

I think there will be one new doctor in September, as Julia mentioned getting in another doctor to become a partner, as she didn't think Jimmi or Nick were ready for it. I think it will be probably be a female doctor, as it's a bit strange Doctors only having one female Doctor (they've always had at least two until Elizabeth left). There should be enough space for another new character in the credits if they take out the shot of The Mill, which is probably only being used as a filler since Mac left, as they had no other characters to put in his place at the time.

I think there will probably be a new doctor too. I also hope the new series is a bit more doctor focused..cos it might just be me but i found towards the end of the last series it got a bit too patient focused at times. however that might just be me!

I hope there's a new doctor, preferably male lol but i don't really mind. I too often get bored when the story is focused on the patients, much more interesting when about the doctors themselves!

How many are there now compared to how many there originally were?

When it first started they had Mac,Helen,Steve,Caroline and Rana as doctors with Jo as the receptionist and Ruth as the nurse.
At the moment, there is Ben,Jimmi,Nick and George, so really 1 doctor short.

yeah and it would make sense to bring in a female doctor..as they have 3 guy doctors and one female..although i guess if you include julia, donna and michelle then if they brought in another guy it would be 4 girls and 4 guys working there. who knows though.
